CMA Chapter History

The preliminary organizational meeting for a local chapter in El Paso, TX was held on October 25, 1980.  There were 4 hardy souls (already CMA members) that met and laid the groundwork.  They proceeded to send out the news to a list of people that had indicated they were interested in forming a chapter.
On March 13, 1981 the charter was signed by Herb Shreve at the home office in Hatfield, AR. making the "SON" City Chapter the 36th chapter formed since CMA started in 1975.

We have a unique position in El Paso.  The motorcycling community has set up a coalition that meets once a month and tries to schedule activities that won't crowd each other.  There are over 20 motorcycle clubs in the area, and since our weather allows us to ride year round, there is always something for everyone.

Our chapter meeting is held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at one of our local restaurants.   For those who want to eat, come at 6 PM. The meeting starts at 7 PM.   Also each month, we usually have a social event. Check the meeting page for the current information about this month's event.

Come and join us - 2006 is our 25th Anniversary - we'd be glad to see you!
